Isonics Corporation Announces Research and Development Agreement With
Silex

GOLDEN, Colo., April 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Isonics Corporation (OTC
Bulletin Board: ISON) announced today that it has signed a joint
research and development agreement with Silex Systems Limited of North
Ryde, New South Wales, Australia to collaborate on new technologies for
the development of isotopically pure silicon for the semiconductor
industry. The agreement calls for Isonics to provide Silex data from
Isonics' silicon-28 wafer development program. These data will be used
to enable Silex to assess the feasibility of building an isotope
separation facility using the Silex laser separation technology. Silex
has agreed to contribute $200,000 over the next 12 to 18 months to
Isonics' planned development program, which will make bulk silicon-28
samples for evaluation by semiconductor device manufacturers.

Isonics Vice President, Semiconductor Materials Dr. Stephen J. Burden
commented, "Silex' substantial investment indicates their high level of
confidence in their isotope separation technology. Isonics will
provide the technical and economic information necessary to allow them
to plan the establishment of a major isotope separation facility for
the production of isotopically pure silicon. Silex is confident that
its technology has the potential to produce silicon-28 significantly
cheaper than any other isotope separation methods currently being used
or in development. If they can achieve this, silicon-28 wafers can
capture a much greater portion of the silicon wafer market than we had
previously envisioned."

On April 12, Isonics announced that it had entered into an licensing
agreement with Yale University that entitles the Company to exclusive
intellectual property rights to patents covering semiconductor devices
derived from isotopically engineered materials. These patents cover
silicon, germanium, gallium arsenide and most other isotopically pure
semiconductors and are the basis for Isonics' silicon-28 wafer
development and commercialization.

Silex Systems has licensed its technology for uranium enrichment to the
U.S. Enrichment Corporation (NYSE: USU), but has retained the right to
use the technology for stable isotope separation. Silex is traded on
the Australian stock exchange under the symbol SLX. Silex's web site
is located at www.silex.com.au.

Isonics is an advanced materials and technology company which develops and commercializes products based on enriched stable isotopes. Stable
isotopes can be thought of as ultra-ultra pure materials. This high
degree of purification provides enhanced performance properties
compared to normal materials. Stable isotopes have commercial uses in
several areas, including energy; research, medical diagnostics, and
drug development; product tagging and stewardship; semiconductors;
lasers; and optical materials. For more information, visit Isonics'
web site at www.isonics.com.

Excellent analysis. Just do what I did, put this stock away and don't analyze it's day to day movement. You might just be able to retire on it.
