"Do unto others", the Golden Rule, would have served well in this case, I think. I still contend that "not fitting in" is no justification for taking lives. I can definitely relate to your McDonald's experience. Just this morning, it is snowing profusely in the Denver area. So I like to drive my 11 year old to school on bad weather days. This morning, unlike any other, he says "Dad, make sure I get there after 7:30, even if you have to drive super slow to do it." When asked why, he replied "If it's before 7:30, the rooms aren't open and we stay in the cafeteria. I don't want to stay in the cafeteria if it's not lunch time. People get killed in there."
