Jon en all... "What ever happened to respect for risk ???" - For the record I hold a small long position in QCOM, a large position in LU (company 401K) and I am short certain averages and futures. I would love to capitalize on this crazy uphoria in the market in general by shorting individual stocks but I don't have the stamina or fortitude to hang thru the mania. Although I am thankful to QCOM for my recent fortunes, I am appalled by the lack of respect for the downside in the market in general (including QCOM), what I have read, many people have jumped in long today fearing the missed opportunity if they didn't. I read that in some cases this and some of the internets are 40, 50 or in some cases 100% of their portfolio's. That's insane !! No doubt QCOM is good and CDMA "may" have a future. (believe me the big boys won't pay QCOM royalties for ever,,,, not going to happen). However the NASDAQ has doubled since OCT 98' DOUBLED !!!! Hey we are all hero's.... But if this average should give back significantly, QCOM will be cut in half in a day!

Where is the respect for Risk in this market ??? I can't find it !!!

Incidently I am up 25% this year but I am very concerned !!!

Sorry for the ranting !!

Mark
