**OT** <..Here's to a strong H&Q tech week next week...>

Semi-equipment book to bill portends good things techwise (comments from CSFB):

Orders rose again in March, up 14% sequentially. Suppliers ramped shipments only 6%, as they continue to replenish backlogs. The book/bill, an already strong 1.21 in February, increased to 1.30.

Expanding demand from North America, Korea, and Taiwan re-accelerated front-end demand, increasing orders 12% in March. A limited 5% shipment ramp boosted the front-end book/bill to 1.31. Tight test capacity spurred the fifth consecutive double-digit jump in back-end orders, up 18% in March. Shipments rose 9%, driving the book/bill from 1.19 in February to 1.28. Lead times continue to stretch, suggesting testers shipments may accelerate.
