Does anyone else here appreciate the irony of the experts being once again so wrong? Monday was "like a twister" going through Wall Street, said Ron Insana today. So once again CNBC got out their trusty slate of doomsters who said the sky was falling and this was only the beginning of the net and tech correction, etc., etc.

Now where are we? With IBM's great earnings after the close today, we are in the process of what could be one of the greatest earnings seasons in recent memory. The fact that there were very few earnings pre warnings was all too easily forgotten, and suddenly people were playing "I told you so" with a vengeance.

I did not see one report, for example, that Dan Sullivan of the Chartist, one of Hulbert's consistently top rated performers, got a buy signal on Friday after the close. Nor was there much talk of the need for this rally to broaden out finally occurring. Now we have a realistic shot of the market broadening and going much higher from here.

Of course, none of this means this market is perfect or growing to the sky, it is just a market that CONTINUALLY proves the official wisdom wrong.

Beware the experts, and continue your own due diligence.

And thank God for places like Market Gems where thoughtful analysis prevails.

PCNTF---I heard an internet analyst on CNBC--can't remember his name, one of his top picks was PCNTF. He said they had an excellent business model, and should experience explosive growth in Asis--I remember thinking, I wish I had some money to buy into this one. The next day it went up 10 points, so I didn't buy in. That was sometime last week.

Belinda, MUSE was a good one that I was bullish on for a few days.

I don't know if you are a subscriber or not but by tomorrow I'm going to have a brand new list of earnings plays for next week on the Market Gems Calendar. There will always be "poppers" ever week, every day.. You can't just buy stocks for a quickie until you've seen the market climate, the 5, 15, daily, weekly charts check out price patterns, resistance, etc. I will have some stocks on the watch list in a few hours. I'm running late tonight because of the new 26 page report and running them page by page into the scans and filtering them further. If you are not a subscriber, in about 1 hour I'll have a few ideas for tomorrow on the thread.
