Jeff,

Did you ever get the feeling Bloomberg doesn't like AMAT?

I've noticed that a lot of full service, or full coverage news organizations like to slam high tech whenever they get a chance. The one that irks me the most is the San Jose Mercury News. Here is a paper that has to get a LOT of its revenues in subscriptions, ad money in help wanted sections, etc. from high tech industry people, because of its location (DUH). Yet, every chance they get, whether it's IBM, or Intel, HP, Cisco, AMAT, Sun, any local company, they give it the maximum negative slant. Hate to say it, but the Murky News is run as though they wish the valley here would return to prune orchards. Lot prettier in the spring, but... If I were to go into how I think the Murk got that way, I'd probably get sent to PC (not personal computer) jail.
