Jeffry,

In most cases the actual split takes place from 30 to 45 days after announcement. Date of record generally means nothing to the average investor already holding shares. I still say we are in a fifteen year Bull market with about seven days being up out of every ten days of trading. How high can it go? It will continue as high as the Little Boys and the individual investors are willing to push it. Trust me, it will not be the Big Boys. The Big Boys may be buying now but if you think they will be paying $175 on up for the stock before the next
FUND MANPULATED pullback, NO WAY. Why?, Because they do not have to. In my mind, that is exactly what Fidelity did this time and the small investor has to realize they are going to do it again when and if they need to. Why should they pay those high prices when all they have to say is things are getting a little ahead of itself and they are beginning to liquidate some shares. They rotate or at least make that statement and BOOM, down goes our precious AOL. The little man is knocked out and lo and behold, who is there to help out the poor little old market. Right, FIDELITY and the other big boys, and then off we go again.

From the porch,

Voltaire
