Average PE was over 80, but the Japanese had different accounting methods and I believe PE comparisons are tough. Some guys I knew said the effective PE was higher, but I'm not so sure given all the hidden reserves and such those guys would salt away. But they also bubbled on real estate at the same time, as well as overseas investments, and everything came unglued at the same time. Given all the cross share holdings and liberal lending it was a disaster as history shows. One domino started a cascade. So it is different than what we are looking at.

70 ish which is lees than nasdaq.no never this para bolic.we passed japan some time ago.
