Larry, HAL may be able to tell you up/down trends, but as you say that's based on prior statistical data and there's the rub for HAL, he first has to see the up trend over a period of time. He is unable to take into account fast moving information. I think he will tell you to BUY in a few days, but he will be late, again! <gg> My own buy signal came Monday, and I did and boy am I glad! Regards and aloha

Larry: I don't know about the stock price and am not paying too much attention to it at the moment(though admittedly it would have been nice if the stock price went up with the NAZ as you say),I am looking at the company and the industry now.

I figured if the company is doing great then logic dictates that the stock price will & must follow, may be not today or tomorrow but it will,it has to,it must, otherwise I will dump the thing and go 'NUTS'.<vbg>

Larry,
Hal is still looking backwards at old news and pc industry fear, mostly resulting from cpq's incompetence.

stay tuned. hal will reverse VERY quickly IMO. if you don't own dell you won't get it under 40 again IMO...the sale was on longer than i expected, and hopefully many have loaded up with it.

an analyst was interviewed yesterday and said "as soon as there is some good news that the pc industry is healthier than cpq indicates, it is time to load up on dell..." well, that news is now here from ibm, who is seeing healthy pc sales, growth, and DIRECT DIRECT DIRECT push ala dell.

good luck, and thanks for the model...just hope you look at the news too so you can benefit with the rest of us. cheers, GR

Larry,

Give it a rest. DELL has beaten NASDAQ over a year, 3 years, 5 years and 10 years. If HAL cannot see that, it needs new glasses. Perhaps that's why it is posting in CAPS that DELL trend is down. Does shouting make things truer?
