All,

Certainly can't complain too much about free software.

I agree they could probably make money by adding features and selling the software. Its a very well written program. They seem to be more interested in being a data provider than also a charting software vendor and the exploiting the opportunities that exist in that market segment.

Advanced GET RT is $210/month on yearly lease. It nots a custom indicator building or testing package. Big tool box of fibb/gann/eliot and proprietary Tom Joseph Indicators. I own the EOD version but not RT.

I know some folks trying Fib trader now. we should have some reports on that soon.

Nettrader RT looks interesting..

On Another very interesting note:

A fellow has written some software that uses Qfeed and emulates DBC data manager to allow Metastock Pro 6.52 and Tradestaion 4.0/2000 to run with the quote.com feed. Its currently in beta. He just released a new version today. It has a free eval. Haven't tried it yet. Might have to order a 30 day trial of Metastock Pro RT and take it for spin. Encourage others to do the same and report their findings...

now.at

freeyellow.com

There is a onelist.com mailing list for this product also.

With Metastock Pro 6.52 going for $499 for Metastock 6.5 EOD owners this could be a seriously powerful combo for less $$$ than tradestation.

$500 certainly is nothing compared to the opportunity cost of me having to devote hundreds of hours to write something myself.

qfeed is defintely one hot product at the moment and support is gorwing very fast. Gotta love it. New solutions are appearing at a very fast rate....

kudos to Chris Cooper, Gibbons Burke and the rest of the quote.com team for putting together a solution for traders on the go who want their charts anytime anywhere they have an internet connection.

regards,
Sean
