Last I checked this was a free market economy. Anyway, I wasn't making a point about the price,but the product's positioning .

Speaking of price / performance, also note the other comment on the same page, about a product from a company you seem to so freely malign:

It seems that the Celeron 400 is really making a push to be the Sharky Extreme CPU of the year for 99, (the Celeron 300A was our CPU of the year for 98 in case you were wondering). At a price of $112 it delivers performance that will meet or exceed most buyer's expectations, and it even works on the same mainboard that a P3 will, should you find a need to upgrade in the future…
