I was reading in today's LA Times that there were 3.5 million online brokerage accounts at the end of 1997.

By the end of 2002, that number is expected to rise to 24 million.

Wrong, Frankie boy: someone very professional is selling big pieces through INCA and erasing the accumulation. Either someone was very long and is lightening up, OR somebody is getting more short in a big way. Call a broker who can see these things and you will see what I say is true.
