The Motely Fool had a good article about Compaq;

Compaq's Management Broke Compact

Morality tales leave us feeling a righteous satisfaction because things end as they should, with villainous characters getting their do. That's why I felt joyful when I first heard the news that leading PC and enterprise computing firm Compaq (NYSE: CPQ) had booted CEO Eckhard Pfeiffer and CFO Earl Mason from their jobs over the weekend. They deserved it. <<<

The article goes on ... make me wonder if Compaq can compete long term.

Did you read that piece where EP was whining that the board didn't give him enough time to execute a recovery plan (or whatever his exact terminology was) ha ha ha!

I can hardly wait until they really look into those financials I'll bet all kinds of dirt is going to come up... but hey they are still the leader in "service and support" aha!
