When things started moving back in January, I got a little too gung ho, and I sold off most of my other stocks, and I wound up with about 90% holdings in Ampex. After the first retracement, I did a reality check, and I realized how uncool that was to do. However, I also remember that when I moved a lot of that cash over to Ampex, that was strictly for "playing" purposes. So I sold half of my stock the other day, when the market correction seemed inevitable, and now I feel like a fifty pound cement block has been lifted off my shoulders. It was a little too much for me. I was overdosing on Ampex. I was becoming toxic.
Again, I have this goal to be into cash by June, just so I can learn how to skin those Y2K compliant squirrels, and watch the stock market go south, which I expect it to start doing around July or August .Of course, there is no limit to greed, so it could all come at once on December 24. The media loves a good rating share, so they will market the fear, and a lot of normal people will follow. I know people who are buying guns and electric generators, and tanks to store gasoline. Personally, I don't expect any real problems, but public PERCEPTION could cause some glitches.

I really believe in the company for the long term plan. But I don't see broadband ready to roll for two or more years down the road. Cooper had his chance to make a major anouncement. It came and went .
I don't think I'll necessarily miss the train by starting to trade in and out a little more often. It's a slow train coming, as far as I can estimate. Thanks again for the good advice Carl, Hal, Michael-and others. My health and comfort zone come first. It's too easy to get caught up in the fever, although I admit that's a thrill in itself...But when the party starts getting too intense, it's time for some R&R.......Anyhow, I still have a truckload that I bought at a little above two. I'm going to be more of an opportunist from now on, in my relationship to Ampex. Good luck to everyone, regardless of your individual strategy...... ..al..
