I found another article that delves deeper into SAP's numbers. It sure is nice to let others do the number crunching for a change, so I don't have to do my own homework.

The market took SAP up yesterday because of a perception that there performance was better than had been pre-announced. If you eliminate the one-time revenues, the performance was in line with the pre-announcement. As one analyst says in the article, the earnings report was all "smoke and mirros."
