A couple of good reasons: back bone of many of the top internet sites, ISP's, brokerages, etc. Dominant in this field. also I like their vision, was reading yesterday about Ellison's plan to offer click on demand in-home movies as I'm in the movie biz we definitely need this to replace the deteriorated video market who wants to go to a store, rent and have to return when you click it on, freeze it, fast-forward, rewind with better clarity, no broken tapes etc. Or have to wait to catch a movie you like on cable or TV? I also like the fact that this stock has based in the low 20's for a long time, hasn't been volotile and is building up for a steady move into the 30's and 40's I also like it because my techie partner loves it and he knows more mysteries of the software universe than I ever will. There's a lot more but I'm confident enough not to have to hype it any further the reasons are all there Oracle is a great core holding and still a buy right now.
