Speaking of Alta Vista... I dropped a note to CPQ using the feedback section of their web page. Last week I signed up to try AT&T's Worldnet as a backup IP. At the top of their home page is a box to do a search. The default is Lycos but there is an arrow to get the entire list of options. Yahoo, Web Crawler, Lycos, Excite--and others--but no Alta Vista.

I read a magazine article this past weekend that rated the major IPs. Worldnet was rated #1 for a number of reason, above AOL. Compaq should make some deal with T to get Alta Vista listed as a search engine option.

vinod,
Pfiffer is not a golfer. Golfers know how to keep score.
