Yes, I have heard that this is a standard "alternative dress" mode these days. It obviously does not indicate that every kid wearing a trench coat is in this mafia. However, this child in question has exhibited the same behaviors as those at Columbine, and as I stated, was probably totally innocent. But the timing was totally disrespectful and created fear. It has been acknowledged by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation that the trench coat mafia is not isolated to Columbine and they have launched a state wide investigation into activities at other locations, Internet sites, etc.
