Any realistic probability that Iridium will make an announcement of some sort regarding "research into using Iridium satellites for global Internet coverage," or "in talks with Teledesic to sell Iridium's constallation to Microsoft," or "name is changed to Iridium.COM"?

company with the most valuable real estate up there (more close satellites) has to be worth a lot of money. There certainly is broadband mania going on

Those Iridium satellites are VERY special purpose birds. I don't believe they can be used for broadband.
