<<Why in the h*ll are you shorting more stuff? Are you daft, man? >>
Daft, stupid, nuts - whatever. -g- Each time I am afraid of being short, I keep remembering this monday more and more. I saw that day as a total collapse under the "sell to whom" scenario. A scenario under which not much new money will be committed unless a drastic adjustment in prices is done.
Two things spoiled that Monday's miracle - that sharp sell-off brought some bravery in to the shorts, the remaining few shorted more. Since it coincided with the magic 10% drop, a lot of monkey got back on board. Now that some of the weak shorts appears to be covering at the open, it is the time to make monkey brain pie! -g- Or, as Speilberg puts it - Chilled monkey brain, as eaten by Indians! -vbg-
