There IS a need for guns-- for protection of home and family. I have every right to protect myself....

Gun control: cooling-off period for gun licenses, background checks, etc. are a valid and useful _piece_ of the puzzle in stemming violence. But it will not happen in the US if and until members of Congress who are either too afraid of the NRA or have prostituted themselves to the NRA are out of office. It will happen eventually though...ciggie mfrs. once thought they were invincible too. I'll also continue to pray for the victims in Colorado and ignore pro-NRA flamers.
