I listened to the TXN shareholders meeting today which is available on the web. Very interesting about the future of DSPs in general and ADSL in particular:
ti.com
Tom Engibous says when refering to ADSL that the major US telephone companies have identified 35 million lines to be converted to ADSL "this year", and that is just scratching the tip of the iceberg. He expects every line to eventually have a dsp at each end. This is at about 11 minutes into the shareholders meeting. He also spoke of "digital modems being released just today."
