.04 is not much earnings but indulge me with a quick story:

A fictional company named XYZ had one great product and several others that were only average. XYZ wasted lots of money on the average products and didn't market the great product that well. A much bigger company named INT knew they could turn the great product into a huge money maker. So when XYZ had a bad quarter and their value went down, INT bought them and gave INT stock for every share. The owners of XYZ and all the stockholders who were smart enough to buy shares after the price drop lived happily ever after. Stockholders who sold on the bad news told their grandkids how they could have been rich if only...
