BC,

It's bad enough that the website does not function, but the recent huge increase in ripoff trades makes E*TRADE off limits. I'll be gone soon. During the last 2 - 3 weeks there has definitely been a change in the way Limit Buy Orders are filled, or not. I have placed a lot, so I can tell. I have repeatedly place 1000 share Buys above the Ask on any number of different stocks. Nearly every time, 1/2 the order is filled immediately and the other 500 shares is usually not filled for 5 - 10 minutes and then the price goes up above my limit.

It's happened way too many times to be a coincidence.

Bond

By the way, here's what's happened today when I tried placing a trade:

1) "Document contains no data"
2) Nothing. 1 minute wait. Reload.
3) Nothing. 1/2 minute wait. Reload 3 times.
4) Log On page. "Must login if account is inactive for over 1 hour." I was off the page for 10 minutes.
5) Log Out page. Told that I was invalid on the site. Re-log on. Just went to another open page in my browser and it worked.
6) Nothing. Reloaded the page 4 times after waiting from 1/2 to 1 minute without the Preview Order page loading.
7) "Service Unavailable".

The E*TRADE site does not work.
