Conexant Outdoes The Street Again - Are More Surprises In Store?

stockhouse.com

[link thanks to DownSouth, "Gorilla and King Portfolio candidates" thread]

For me the answer is YES, I am banging my head. <g>

In its wireless business, Conexant can help "keep its products ahead of the market" says Veerappan, because "it has its own captive GaAs HBT foundry that it can adapt to push the envelope in this technology."

As far as pushing the envelope is concerned, I don't see that using a captive foundry gives any advantage over in-house wafer production. But perhaps he's referring to the particular foundry.
