DAISY, you can't get a virus just from opening an email. Someone can send you a file attached to an email, which if opened will introduce a virus into your system. Never open a file from someone you do not know who sent it to you unsolicited. If you don't open the file, the virus can't get out, so deleting the file will insure your system's safety.

This 'warning' about email viruses is an old ongoing fraud, and can safely be disregarded.

Never ever open any docs from an email. I do not even open them if I know the person. I simply ask them to Cut & Paste whatever is in the email that they wanted me to see.
