Greenberg's accuracy on picking shorts for thestreet.com is phenomenal. His picks are documented in thestreet.com's archives so you can go see for yourself. Most of the catastrophic tankings this year (SFSK, NETA, Pillotex, etc.) were predicted by Greenberg. We're not talking about stocks which went down 10-20% but 70-80%. He states that he doesn't own or short individual stocks. Unless someone proves otherwise, I'm willing to accept that. I'm not willing to go long net groceries yet, but I am not going to short them at this point.
