Don, your experience with Brown & Co. has been duly noted by me. If they ain't good enough for you, they'll never have to worry about sending me an account application.

Thanks for telling us how it is.

Best regards,

Mark A. Peterson

Hi Don:
I have partially filled the application form from Brown and was ready to send them 50K check to open them account. Your post is timely, I am thinking twice now. With Preferred I can always get in touch with Sam or Doug. I told Sam that I want to do a straddle for this second small account. I said that Brown will allow for 50K but Preferred wants 100K. Sam said that he is going to convey to Doug and Doug will get back to me. He never did. I'll call him again today. Moving account from one brokerage firm to another restricts liquidity,

I have 9 accounts with Jack White. This brokerage firm has been rfated #1 three years in arow by Smart Money. Then Waterhouse Securities bought them, and the changeover was a few weeks ago. Everything went bad, even the local paper had an article how bad the service is. But I cannot move my 9 accounts with them right.

Preferred will have a lot of new accounts if they allow for 50k to do naked puts like for a straddle. Maybe you can also convince Doug about this. I like to try them with a small account first before moving those 9 accounts with Jack White.

Of course Mr. Jack White already gets his millions. But his loyal customers suffer.

Thank you for sharing your experience. That is how we learn from others. Your unselfish efforts show how much of a fisrt class person you are.

Best regards

Paul
