MicroTel's French Subsidiary CXR S.A. Launches Enhanced ISDN Channel
Bank; First Year Revenues Expected to Exceed $500,000

ONTARIO, CALIF. (April 22) BUSINESS WIRE -April 22, 1999--MicroTel
International Inc. (NASDAQ SmallCap: MCTLC) today announced that its
Paris-based French subsidiary, CXR S.A. has completed further
enhancements of its market leading ISDN Channel Bank product line.

The units, which provides separation and aggregation of Primary Rate
ISDN into multiple Basic Rate ISDN channels and vice versa, now have
additional security, logging and diagnostics features. The enhanced
product's first year revenues are expected to exceed $500,000 and will
contribute to MicroTel's rapidly growing transmission business.

Commenting on the product, Graham Jefferies, MicroTel's vice president
and director of International Operations, stated "This new addition to
our product portfolio further strengthens our market leading position
as a provider of ISDN transmission solutions, equipment and service.
Our French subsidiary achieved revenues of $11 million in 1998, of
which $6 million was transmission products and services. Transmission
products will be a significant contributor to 1999 revenue and
profitability growth."
