My guess is that the press release was prepared based on prior press releases concerning the AT&T / Time Warner deal. These things are generally ready long before the actual release, and this one just didn't get updated. They (ANTEC) assume it will happen as planned, even if there are some bumps along the way. And besides, it makes for a more upbeat story, right? I think it's probably a mix of not having faith in ANTEC and us being ahead of analysts again. ANTEC has promised big things in the past and disappointed, so the analysts tend to be a little skeptical. But a bigger part, I think, is that they react to changes in companies and industries rather than see what is happening and anticipating changes. Those of us intimately involved in the industry generally "see" better what is happening in the real world.
