I'd like to thank everyone on this thread for enlightening me about the software industry. I've been following this (and three other) threads for around three years, and I especially enjoy learning different perspectives from so many intelligent people. That's why it always disappoints me when people like Bill V. makes such shallow and mean-spirited contributions. And his one-liner quips aren't even funny. And it really pisses me off that he's apparently threatening other contributors. I've written an email to SI complaining about his behavior. Thanks Ron (FYI, my main holdings are in Microsoft and Novell).
