I havn't heard anything about wireless, at least on a broadband basis. This would seem to be tricky unless they did a combination of cable/optical fibre/existing copper to a local wireless tower of sorts, still, that's a lot of capacity for the airwaves to handle efficiently. I really know very little, just speculating.

It amazes me how many people I know that will maintain their AOL account despite gaining another form of Internet access. I suppose fear of e-mail identity loss must be a big factor. This phenomenon alone makes AOL attractive, its kind of like a delayed churn.

I agree that they should cut some kind of cable deal, I mean why not? I just think that the cable access providers will have to cut some sort of deal with the telcos in order to survive given telcos' ability to bundle other communication products. This makes the ATT/@Home deal potentially very powerful.
