Re: Registration renewal.

I live in Michigan. There is now a lot of de-regulation in the utilities industries. I get letters saying, "You can now choose where to get your gas/electricity/whatever. You were paying _____. We charge _____. All you need to do to switch is call _____."

Geez. I wonder if those simple letters are going out. I can picture one from AOL: "You were paying $35/year to NSOL. For $___ a year, you can renew with us, and we'll give you _____ for free."

My girlfriend just bought a Sarah McLaughlin CD. On that audio CD, is 100 hours free of AOL access. You stick the CD in, register to AOL, get 100 hours for free, and can access Sarah's web site. Anyone who can and does do that is going to make life very uncomfortable for NSOL. AOL is a vicious marketer and is to be feared.

NSOL is screwed an has no business with a $3 billion market cap.

<NSOL>...Even if they kept ALL their current registrants plus competed successfully for 20% of the market going forward, the declining fee structure (assuming it does decline) wouldn't support the current market cap. The outrageous internet mkt. caps are only supported by the presumption of continued explosive growth. NSOL faces both declining market share and declining revenue per unit sold, IMO.
