Re: 8 Millimeter.. I was highly disturbed. Not by the movie but by the fact that their were adults there with children ranging from 8 - 18.

8-18?? Damn!! I could barely get thru watching the _trailer_ for 8MM on TV! Unbelievable!

BTW, chalk up another emphatic yes vote on school uniforms.

BTW Pati, uniforms have been proven to eliminate many many problems. Why would the parents of your good town not do anything that remotely gives their children a fighting chance? Are they afraid to inconvenience the child? It is time parents started being parents and children be children. Who is really in charge...

Wag the parent.....

Having talked with a few after the school board meetings, I got the impression that the parents thought this was going over the line. They believed that the new high school (it was just built 5 years ago to replace the 50 year old one) was constructed like a fortress. The on campus city police (4 of them at all times) and the cameras in various places all over the interior and exterior were "wasting tax dollars" and "overkill". They've confiscated a few guns in back packs and various "other weapons" over that 5 years as well as narcotics (a drug sniffing dog is brought in randomly).

I'd like to hear what those same parents have to say about this situation now.
