Kinda. That's exactly the question I'm asking. What does the "NYSE BETA INDEX" specifically show me? Is it the Beta of the NYSE Composite? Is it some weighed average of the Betas of all the stocks that make up the NYSE Composite? It is something else entirely?

I asked the question on this thread because someone had mentioned using the NHB index here several months ago.
