Thanks for the correction, Gus. And the excellent sites. Was trying to dig up an excellent government ( from Goddard if I recall) storage history and woes site that Flickerful posted some time ago - in case you had missed it- the paper both cried out a need for something like DSTs ( and explained why they may be having trouble selling them .... Ampex stopped supporting some storage machines they sold the government in the 70s...left them in the lurch...lost data). In my opinion that link would bear reposting, Flick ...if you still have it around. ( anyway I'd like to read it again .... more thoroughly this time ).
