Canadians who trade on the TSE are used to a pretty orderly market! We don't have MM's, big time day traders, etc. I think there are a lot of Canadians out there shaking their heads right now asking what happened, what is going on. I know there are!!! I recommend a book called "The Electronic Daytrader" by Marc Friedfertig and George West. I'm not recommending daytrading... but... the reading is fascinating and I find that it has really helped me understand some of what is going on... and by understanding.. it allows me to wait and watch. I have found that much of what they talk about has helped me with longer term trading on the TSE as well... their sections on the NYSE are much more comparable to our universe.
