Unfortunately, the corresponding bank will be charging your local bank for part of the wiring cost. The most eficient and least expensive way is to get the address, account number, casher's check (they'll wave the fee for that) than send it with Next day Post. Ask for signature.

I may be the only person on S.I. who didn't know about this board, and I am just getting familiar with it and the Kosovar-interested people. Meanwhile, let me go ahead and post the URL of a board Raging Bull has given us at: ragingbull.com We ask that people PLEASE not use our board for political discussion on the Kosovar crisis, as there are other places for that. We would like to deal strictly with the issue of how we can aid the refugees. As a first, very brief summary, we are trying to arrange to send a volunteer (Dana, who posts as "Owl") with good construction and automotive repair skills to Macedonia with material aid gathered by churches. We have found a church (also affiliated with other non-denominational churches) in Alabama who will pay for his airfare and the shipping of the aid. We are going to be concentrating on space blankets and dried food. OUR PROBLEM - as we try to get this together, it appears that the airports of both Skopje and Tirana have closed themselves off to civilian flights. Additionally, we have not been able to find out how to get the aid from the airport to the camp. We desperately need informational help here. We have the volunteer and will have the funds and aid, but we need to be guided as to how to get where. Please join our board, and please remind people to limit it to refugee information. By the way, for those familiar with the MTEI OTC stock scam now in SEC hands, Dana (Owl) is one of the people who worked hundreds of hours toward the success we had in getting the SEC's attention.
