Interesting..I read an a nice description of a technical factor in investing, "fading one's emotions". The term refers to doing the opposite of what one feels like doing. It was described that professional train themselves to do that. Seems right. Your point about the ownership of the gas is an important one especially since the original work on this field was done as exploration for coal production as I understand it.
