Rmbs thread isn't too amused. This dude got the wrong thread, took a swing at you, Earlie, and Fleck, and then decided maybe he'd better check on the facts <g>

I would love to think those shares are still to come.<g>

No, they are not out of it Mike. But this is the $64,000 question I can't figure out, yet. My guess is TXN is doing a controlled bail and a few funds are wising up to the fact.

Regards, Ice

To All, Media follies this morning: 1. James Sowieki (sp), the money reporter for Slate, continues to make a fool of himself in print. He mentioned that Compaq did poorly and made fun of the idea that it was an industry wide problem. He ridiculed this concept by stating that everyone was doing poorly except for Dell and IBM. Ha, ha, ha. O.K., reality check. If anyone ever accuses me of being a Compaq lover, I think they would be mistaken. <g> But Compaq earned over $150 million on PCs during this "company specific bad" quarter. IBM lost $89 million on PCs during this "great" quarter. Has Slate ever heard the term, reality check?

2. Some goof from Cowen was on CNBS this morning. While the CEO from Xilinx was giving what I thought was an outstanding and not very touty presentation, the goof asked, "if there were to be a positive surprise in the future, in what area of your business would it occur and what would cause it?" What a maroon. Somebody hand him a dictionary earmarked to the "SUR" section. <g> The Xilinx guy, to his credit, neither laughed at the jerk nor took the opportunity to wax disingenuously about the future.
