are you saying that there are no restrictions as to when a company trades calls or puts?

If that is true, why wouldn't every company not take advantage of insider knowledge. As an example, IBM would have made a fortune selling puts or buying calls yesterday, cashing them in today. Compaq could have bailed themselves out completely by placing the appropriate trades.

Still confused.
