All those kids had to do was turn on the TV or go to the movies. They can get all the misguidence they need. If they figure out how the Government has already comitted them to a life of tax slavery then Katy bar the door. Jim

Bobby, not confused. When each person decides they can establish their own value/moral code (which is what an increasing number of people are doing evidenced by rejection of biblical and legal codes) then all behavior is no longer either right or wrong, it is merely utilitarian or not. OT I live in the Denver area, and like every other sane person in the rest of our nation, decry the senseless violence and loss of life which occurred in the suburb of Littleton. Perhaps it is this proximity and the undulation of every breaking event that naturally draws one to the varied course, but perhaps we as a nation should show a greater willingness to attempt the path less traveled when it has become so obvious our current path has become impassable. A different take on the possible cause and cure to these many problems must be considered, and is it not cause, effect, and cure that we all seek? We know the present "system" is not working for some reason or another, rather, the sheer number and magnitude of ferocity of recent acts show an increase with every passing day and effort expended to reconcile or correct. Is not the size of each consecutive pile of young dead bodies greater than the prior? Does not every passing crime show an advancing level of real or sought destruction? At the current rate, the next scene of school violence could well resemble another Oklahoma City or worse! Forget another gun law, the coach which was killed would have been alive and others with him had he carried something for protection. If these Hellions had not been allowed the guns, they might well have used more bombs at an earlier stage with a more massive death toll! What of limiting bomb making devices and materials? We should be reminded the first "explosive" of choice for the Uni-bomber was based on the head of the common match. As in every case involving loss of life, the "Gods" from our earthly heaven in Washington have descended and are assuring check-book salvation from these terrors. They are providing extra dollars to pay for mental health counseling, wages lost, and funerals. Could these very acts of kindness from our "betters" exert influence upon our future? You always get more of what you are willing to pay for! Is the treatment of these mental aberrations a remedy or a celebration of mental illness? Of those providing the help, commonly available statistics show an abnormal percentage of suicide by those in the mental health professions. Most texts teaching the related subjects note the propensity for doubt of one's own sanity the single greatest force driving this specific career choice. Could the crazies be teaching us to be less sane? There is psychological testing REQUIRED and counseling given as needed for every student in these United States today through the school system. One would hope these mental health professionals could have seen some type of problem in these young people. Almost no chemical, mechanical, objective testing exists in the determination if sanity or mental illness it is entirely subjective based on the views of the professional. It should also be noted that those that provide the testing are the very ones which are empowered to decide the amount of counseling required and course of treatment. Treatment is always indicated when students wish to fight one another. These are recent "advancements". Was not our society more sane before we were treated en mass for insanity? Even if, we the great unwashed masses, are insane, did we not act in a far less destructive manner prior to all this "mental help"? Even if we are Crazy, would we as a society not be better off were we treated by those with a reason to determine we need their help? Even if we do need mental help, would we not be in a more sane state with-out assistance from those lacking sanity? Did our prior crazy actions result in the murder of our neighbor in these great numbers? Did not more survive in the days before this help when students were allowed a fist fight with-out jail time or more "talking about our problems & feelings"? Let's go back and allow the after school fight again. An old saying needs refreshment "Physician cure thyself but leave us alone"! But, I fail to see how this impacts gold (except in that each time they try to control all,their control is less).
