And one for dummy Reddy.... To: Katz R Us (206 ) From: BruSi Thursday, Jan 7 1999 9:26PM ET Reply # of 259 By the way Barbara, the following is the post I put on Yahoo. just check the closing prices for the end of 1998 and the prices tomorrow. The reason i do not post as BruSi on Yahoo is that it was already taken. BEGINNING OF POST 4056 ON UBID_YAHOO Happy New Year to all. Ok, so you guys have made a bundle. Hopefully this will go on some more, but it may be a good time to take some money off the table from fully valued stocks. There is some pretty good, undervalued stuff out there and these are a few of my favorites. Plant some seeds for the medium turn mucho return: - Cellular Vision - CVUS, horribly run company which was arrogant enough to pretend to offer wireless cable in New York City. But now it is going to concentrate on wireless net-access with speeds of about 1500 times a 28K modem, and reasonable prices. Name change to SpeedUs (SPED) to take effect early Jan '99. A must-have service with a free of charge 'Pioneer' license from the FCC in the largest metropolitan area in the United States. Throw in some bucks! - Ecogen - EECN..... Cellular Vision does not have a monopoly on bad management. Ecogen has made blunder after blunder. They make environmentally friendly pesticides. All us long timers have lost money on this one. But now products are actually being produced and manufacturing problems are under control. They have a sales network with strong ties to Monsanto, and seasonality in the Northern Hemisphere is being addressed by international sales to South America. This one has nowhere to go but UP. - Vtel - VTEL. Teleconferencing. La creme de la creme. Very expensive systems but mass market is also being addressed with a new line early in 1999. With lower earnings and fuel prices nowhere to go but up, and with teleconferencing technology coming of age, look for the whole industry to boom. Vtel has the best out, with installation in major medical and educational fields. Systems have been high end, but they are coming out with a new line and have the best international presence. three offices in Europe, one in China, one in Australia, and one in Brazil to cover South America. If you're a multinational...where you gonna go? - PRI Automation - PRIA, Sofisticated FAB wafer handling systems manufacturer. Has suffered the asian flue and delays in 300mm fabs, but so what? They will be made sooner or later and sooner seems to be the case. PRIA has never lost a major order they bid on. They have made some key aquisitions lately and have reduced payroll adequately. The high of 59 in in sight for this year from a present 25. - AMBI - AMBI makes Cardia Salt, endorsed by Larry King of CNN (recommended for high blood pressure patients) Cardia Salt will be marketed by American Home Products. Sales are expected to increase steadily. Cardia Salt also being targeted to the prepared foods industry. Other proprietory medical products on the market and in development are going to go to the top and bottom line this year. - Perceptron - PRCP. Makes laser measuring systems for lumber and automobile assembly. Had a bad year with lumber prices down and with the GM strike delaying orders. Book to bill ratio is beginning to look pretty good and the technology is being expanded to other applications. The street has overeacted to what are rational reasins for a bad year. There is a lot of room from the present 6 to the old high of 24. I am LONG LONG LONG on all of the above and am simply looking after my own interests in trying to get people to have a look at them. Also getting into finacial planning professionally and establishing a track record with these picks. Minimum downside, good potential, even in a rocky market. Good investing for 99.
