News Release

Mr. Eric Apps reports

Angoss Software has entered into an agreement with Acxiom Corporation, a leading provider of data content and data management services.

Under the agreement, Angoss will initially embed automated access to the
Acxiom Data Network (ADN) into KnowledgExcelerator, its data mining
solution for users of Microsoft Excel, and KnowledgeAccess, its data mining
solution for users of Microsoft Access.

Customers using KnowledgExcelerator and KnowledgeAccess will obtain, on a
transaction basis, one button Internet access to the extensive data
products of Acxiom provided through the Acxiom Data Network.

KnowledgExcelerator and KnowledgeAccess enhancements for ADN are expected
to be released commencing in the second quarter of 1999. ADN enhancements
are also planned for KnowledgeSTUDIO, the industry leading data mining
workbench from Angoss Software, and for KnowledgExplorer, the Internet data
mining platform to be released by Angoss later in 1999. Under the terms of
the agreement, Angoss will receive from Acxiom a royalty based on revenues
generated by Angoss customers using this enhancement to access the ADN
Network.

Eric Apps, president of Angoss, noted that the planned integration will be
of significant benefit to existing Angoss Global 2000 customer base. It
will also enable a new audience of business users to use the combined
solution for more effective direct marketing and customer relationship
management initiatives. A key issue in the data mining process for many of
the company's customers has been getting timely access to high quality data
to enrich the value and depth of their analysis and business planning
activities. Data warehouses and data marts are improving enterprise access
to certain types of business and customer information for the largest
companies. But the timeliness of access, and the inconsistent quality or
absence of data elements, remain significant issues for many of them.
Competitively priced data feeds from external marketing information
providers like Acxiom can add real value. In addition, most smaller and
mid-sized business enterprises are not likely to be implementing extensive
data warehousing or data mart initiatives in the near term - if ever. The
company believes the Acxiom Data Network integration will provide an
innovative and attractive solution for its existing customers and for a
broader audience of business users in smaller and mid-sized enterprises to
respond to these issues.

Many of the company's customers already do their data analysis in Microsoft
Excel. It's also the preferred spreadsheet application for many others. The
company's customers will now have the option to easily and seamlessly
combine their internal data, from a variety of sources, with information
obtained through the Acxiom Data Network. For the customers, data mining is
all about obtaining competitive advantage by having timely access to all
relevant data - and by having the ability to rapidly analyze, understand
and visualize the key drivers of their business success. The ADN
integration will enable the company's customers to spot and capitalize on
trends early, focus on revenue growth opportunities, and identify areas in
their businesses where costs can be reduced, losses can be minimized or
productivity can be increased.

KnowledgExcelerator and KnowledgeAccess, scheduled for commercial release
in the second quarter of 1999, extend Angoss data mining technology
directly to the Microsoft Excel and Access platforms, enabling a broader
audience of business users to quickly and cost-effectively explore, analyze
and visualize trends, patterns and relationships in their data that impact
on competitive success factors. Use of Acxiom data sourced through
KnowledgeExcelerator and KnowledgeAccess by Angoss customers will be
subject to the terms and conditions contained in the ADN data use agreement
which include both restrictions on usage and protection of privacy
provisions.

KnowledgeSTUDIO currently integrates seamlessly with SQL Server 7,
Microsoft Corporation's industry leading database management and OLAP
solution, for a complete, highly scalable, affordable database management,
OLAP, and data mining decision support solution. KnowledgExcelerator and
KnowledgeAccess will extend the interoperability of Angoss data mining
solutions with the Microsoft Office and Back Office product lines.
Integration with ADN for external data access further enhances and extends
these competitive advantages.
