VRSN Takeover Target? Does anyone else get the feeling that this company would make a good takeover candidate? With 90% of the market I think there are probably other companies sniffing at the door. Network Solutions maybe?? With the better than expected numbers this company is going to look really good especially with it's projection numbers for the next couple of years. Jean

Well, I'm not trying to be argumentative. Let's take CNXT for example (which I also happily own)... they blew their number out - WAY above estimates - profitable 6 months ahead of schedule and no analyst expected it... VRSN beats by 2 cents - - still good, but no blowout. IBM - now THAT's a blowout. That's all I'm saying . Don't get me wrong - the results are not 'disappointing' per se, but not a blowout to justify a huge jump in the stock price tomorrow. That's all.eom
