I believe there was some confusion whether this 0.14 was to be applied to the 98 or 99 results. If you (erroneously) apply to it to 99 earnings, then RIG would seem to have missed by a penny. I think this could have contributed to the subdued trading early and lack of price movement. There were corrections posted that this 0.14 was applicable to the 98 results that clearly expressed the blowout results (0.85 vs 0.72 expectation for this Q). RIG did trade well in the last 1/2 hour and closed at the high for the day 32 1/4. I expect to see a strong followup tomorrow in the morning -- expecting to see 34. Cragganmore
