GF,

>> If I had to place a bet I'd say yahoo will trend down and amazon will trend up till earnings.

I am placing the exact bet. Except staying away from amzn. You never know what the company's PR will come up with especially over the weekend. I think there are many many here (aside from the longs) who would love for the stock to go higher so they could short or buy puts.

So, the longs will not buy (they already bought). The shorts will not buy (they are waiting to sell). Funds absolutely will not buy (they bought and drove the shares from 120 to here), and likely will sell.

How is it going higher ?? But I guess somehow it will.

If the above is close to truth, the the volume that lifts it higher will be very light. If that is followed by a heavy down day volume then I guess it will be a repeat of January.
