Did anyone hear him talk about haw B2B e-commerce will drive the revolution? That's where the money is, too. E-commerce ain't just about white males, age 34-55, making $50K-$75K, from North America (source: Internet World, 19-Apr-1999, p. 14)logging on to eBay and bidding for some X-files paranormaphinalia (sic). It's about connecting raw materials suppliers to manufacturers to distributors to retailers, online or off. It's the transactions, ordering, communication, and feedback that will drive the revolution.

Thoughts, anyone?

Also have been at the last three Spring Internet World shows in L.A. and was trying to get a feel for the trend. For one thing, the shows have been getting smaller. The first year, both convention halls, and an outside tent. Last year South hall, and 1/2 of West hall. This year South hall only. E-commerce was big last year but was even bigger this year. VPN was big last year but not this year. DSL was a meme on the rise this year. Most of the booths had little to do with end users, i.e. browsers. Most companies dealt with the transaction hardware, software, linking orders to accounts payable, marketing your e-commercials, etc. Really not that much for a content provider. I'm wondering if IW can predict the trend for the coming year. Again, thoughts anyone?
