They are both good.. My 'On Options" is dog-eared already and I never got the other one.. I like to study a book over and over and sometimes I never need a second on the subject. As I said I am not an option contortionist but I fine simple option trades the best. Again as in earnings plays I use a techo-fundamental approach. Of course options are not assets, but this means that I would tend to BUY the options of company that is technically AND fundamentally strong before earnings because then the option has a better chance of moving quickly. The increased volatility during earnings season works well with option buying.

Also I work with the 'underlying' and not the option. I am not that interested in analysing the option but rather the stock. The option is just a vehicle for buying a 'piece of the stock' with great leverage. I have an option scan software that just looks for great option trades according to best price of the option, the greeks (alpha, delta, beta, gamma) and I rarely use it. I search and scan the stock and the option is only incidental.
