Year 2000 Readiness Disclosure: Summit Bank To Be Open New Year's Day
PRINCETON, N.J., April 21 /PRNewswire/ -- To reassure customers about their Year 2000 (Y2K) technology concerns, more than 400 Summit Bank branches will be open for business on New Year's Day, January 1, 2000, it was announced today.
''We want our customers to have confidence that on and after January 1, 2000, they will be able to access their accounts and handle their banking business at Summit,'' said T. Joseph Semrod, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
With Summit's decision to be open on New Year's Day, customers will be able to conduct business at Summit throughout the holiday weekend. Traditional branches in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Connecticut that are normally open on Saturday will maintain regular Saturday business hours, 9 a.m. to 12 noon, on January 1, 2000. In-store branches will be open both Saturday, January 1, and Sunday, January 2, 2000, with regularly scheduled hours.(cont)
